Job position: Senior Cyber Security Consultant DPaaS

Job description:

Senior Cyber Security Consultant to work on projects providing Information Assurance Advice and Guidance.

Responsible for delivering and leading the CSP Data Protection service.

You will lead on the delivery of  a range of technical projects for public and private sector clients.

You will be responsible for the production of security deliverables, and the provision of Data protection security advice and consultancy.

You will be in charge of the team delivering the Data Protection service, engaging in pre-sales and team development and leadership activities.

You will be a confident and proven security professional, able to work effectively as part of a wider team or independently on client site.

1st June 2019

Experience

3 – 7 years security experience working, in a consultant or permanent role.

Required Qualifications:

–       Sound understanding of Data protection Act and principles and ISO27001.

–       Proven experience in the delivery of cyber security and data protection engagements

–       Experience in risk assessment and management including the design of appropriate security controls

–       Technical understanding of IT systems and their vulnerabilities

–       Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.

–       Motivated & high energy

–       Willingness to travel to client site as required

–       Ability to produce deliverables of a high quality nature.

Job position: Senior Cyber Security Consultant Technical

Job description:

Cyber Security Partnership are looking to recruit a senior cyber security consultant with particular focus on technical security skills, experience and knowledge. The successful individual must demonstrate a keen interest in all elements of cyber security, with the ability to work as part of a team or on their own. The role will see the successful candidate work as part of a growing business with a strong focus on staff development.

Delivery of  a range of technical projects for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities include:

       Design, co-ordinate and manage security testing procedures to verify the security of systems, networks and applications

       Recommend and co-ordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.

       Undertake Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus reviews and assessments.

       Identifying security non-conformities, patching or reconfiguring systems to resolve issues and testing new security technologies.

 

You will be a confident and proven security professional, able to work effectively as part of a wider team or independently on client site.

Experience

3 – 5 years security experience working, either as consultant or permanent.

Required Qualifications:

  • An understanding of security architectural principles, including experience/knowledge of  the design of secure information systems and evaluation of designs against standards. 
  • Penetration testing, Vulnerability Management, use of SIEM technologies and services.  .
  • Experience of document creation, such as reports and technical documentation.
  • Experience of carrying out or providing input into risk reviews or technology audits.
  • Technical security experience/knowledge of server and desktop OS, networking (WAN, LAN & Wifi) and security enforcing devices, including firewalls.
  • Experience/knowledge of network infrastructure such as VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, LANs etc.
  • An understanding of the development lifecycles using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
  • Have excellent presentational, critical thinking problem solving, analytical and prioritisation skills.
  • Be a self-starter and proactive in driving forward security as an enabler for business.
  • Experience/knowledge of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Understanding of ISO27001/02
  • Experience/knowledge of public cloud solutions and cloud security technologies and good practice
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations
