Today is World Book Day and to celebrate Team CSP have recommended books we think will be of benefit to yourself, children and staff. Each book either covers educational purposes that are informative or just generally interesting content around topics within cyber security.
Our first recommendation is for young children called ‘Nettie in Cyberland’ and then we’ll get into the more in-depth books for adults. But don’t worry, we don’t expect anyone to be dressing up today!
Nettie in Cyberland
This children’s book by Wendy Goucher is 1 of ‘Nettie’s Internet Safety Books’ that help iintroduce cyber security to young children in an engaging way to start the conversation of online safety. The book also offers further links at the end for parents and carers to explore and learn about themselves for future reference.

This book by Mo Gawdat is an interesting and exciting read around Artificial Intelligence but it also provokes some terrifying points around the future of AI that we, as humans, need to ensure doesn’t happen to protect our world as we know it.

Snow Crash is a sci-fi, ‘cyberpunk’ read about a strange new computer virus called Snow Crash that is striking down hackers everywhere. The book revelas that Snow Crash isn’t just a computer virus, it’s more and eventually the reader will find out that Snow Crash ‘bleeds into reality’ and affects the person behind the screen.
